It is very easy for teachers to get caught up in the mechanics of writing and miss what is important: the meaning. Teachers need to remember that creative writing is just like any other form of art. It is a highly personal means of expressing oneself and exploring ones own imagination. This acrostic poem was written to remind student and teachers alike that reading and all other forms of art about voicing what is in our hearts.
